Mamascarf

As breastfeeding in public has attracted much controversy, Mothers of Innovation are delighted to find such an ideal solution. With one British-made design, a Mum can maintain her modesty, get physical support (when pillows are not practical) and carry a spare breast pad. Mum Keira says, 'I was breastfeeding my little boy (a baby at the time) and often felt uncomfortable when having to feed him in public. This was partly due to other people's reactions and that I felt exposed when my scarf - that I had attempted to cover up with - would fall off due to my wriggling baby. In addition, I would always get arm ache when there weren't any cushions to support me. I wanted to create something that would solve both problems: hiding the fact that I was feeding, as well as covering up my post baby tummy and providing some support. I went home and started with a cut-up piece of sheeting, trying out different shapes. Mamascarf was born as a result!'
