Products made from organic materials

More and more of us seem to be eating organic food, and the growth of great baby food brands such as Hipp and Organix are a testament to our concern for what we feed our children. We would love to help you find the best organic baby clothes .

We love organic cotton because it seems so much softer than the regular cotton we've come across. It's worth noting that cotton farming uses one quarter of the world's pesticides and while wearing non-organic clothing may not directly affect our health, non-organic cotton production can have serious effects on the health of cotton farmers. At least 8,000 chemicals are used in these processes, many of which are classified by the WHO as 'moderately hazardous' to 'acutely hazardous'. To err on the site of caution, we decided that we did not want to risk any residues and therefore treated our babies to organic cotton clothes whenever possible.

On this site we've used the term 'Organic' to denote products made from organic components. If this is of particular interest to you, you may want to read the product description of each organic item to assess the level of organic content; for example, if a garment's main component is organic or whether it has a certification number from an organisation such as the Soil Association, which ensures that each element conforms to its stringent criteria.
