Toys and children's entertainment

What is your favourite way to entertain your children? We love random silliness, books, making loads of noise and throwing flour around the kitchen, er... sorry, I mean cooking. Maybe we should start a survey to find out about our favourite non-toys (things that wouldn't pass CE standards, but that our kids have found ways to play with) such as sieves and pans or the ever popular selection of bottle tops being posted into a box with a hole in the lid.

We have also included the recipes  for home made   Play Dough, a home-made version of Moon sand and corn flour gunk   if you're looking for some credit crunch ideas for entertaining your little ones.
